Brilliant yellow, creamy, tangy-sweet, pretty, edges crunchy and caramelized, luscious, all-American: Lemon Squares. Just made them and the kitchen feels happy. I love this scrumptious yet so simple-to- make dessert, and so does everyone. If I were forced to choose only one flavor for a dessert, lemon would definitely be the one, easily beating chocolate and even almond, both of which I adore.
