Lemon Squares

Brilliant yellow, creamy, tangy-sweet, pretty, edges crunchy and caramelized, luscious, all-American: Lemon Squares.  Just made them and the kitchen picturefeels happy. I love this scrumptious yet so simple-to- make dessert, and so does everyone.  If I were forced to choose only one flavor for a dessert, lemon would definitely be the one, easily beating chocolate and even almond, both of which I adore.  Lemon is sun, Mediterranean beaches, carefree summer days, a tingly teasing of the palate.  Here’s the recipe and the video of me making them, a short but thorough lesson.  Go on, pick up some lemons at the market – the rest you already have, I’m sure.  Happy Baking!
